Vishal Sah, is a PhD student in Dr. Krishnan H. Harshan’s lab at CSIR-CCMB. He is a molecular virologist and currently studies how RNA viruses modulates host responses like innate immune response and metabolism to facilitate their own survival. Vishal uses cutting edge technologies like next-generation sequencing, proteomics and various molecular biology tools to study the effect of different viruses like DENV, SARS-CoV-2, JEV etc. on various human cell lines and primary cell culture models. When he is not spending his time with viruses, he likes to spend his time playing cricket, cooking and learning new things.
