Poojitha is a molecular virologist at CSIR-CCMB, specializing in the study of mitochondria and their role in immune responses. Her ongoing PhD research focuses on the repurposing of drugs that modulate mitochondrial morphology, with a particular interest in developing antiviral strategies against RNA viruses such as SARS-CoV-2, JEV, and DENV. Outside of her research, Poojitha is a creative individual who enjoys drawing, painting, and cooking in her free time. She is also an avid reader.
