Gopi Krishnan is a graduate student at CSIR-CCMB in Dr. G Umapathy’s lab. He is an invasion biologist currently trying to understand the processes involved in biological invasion in aquatic ecosystems using African catfish as the model organism. His research toolkit encompasses environmental DNA, phylogenetics and comparative genomics. When not researching, he finds joy in bird watching, table tennis, photography and history.
