The Center for Predictive Human Model Systems at Atal Incubation Centre-CCMB and CCMB are organising an India-EMBO lecture course on microphysiological systems to study single organs or organ networks by recapitulating at smaller scales. AYUSH practitioners learn DNA barcoding tools
DNA barcoding  is the most definitive method available today to identify and select exact plant species. We trained 12 AYUSH ministry nominated experts across India in molecular techniques involved in identification of medicinal and herbal plants based on DNA barcode analysis.
How to identify and investigate wildlife crime scenes?
With TRAFFIC-WWF India, Wildlife Crime Control Bureau, National Tiger Conservation Authority, we jointly conducted a two-day workshop on training the trainers in wildlife crime scene detection and investigation. Mid-level to senior forest officers from Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu attended the workshop.

Cool biology-based games for teachers to use in classes
Molecular biology is an abstract concept. Experiments help but can be resource-intensive. We trained pedagogy experts of the Telangana Minority Welfare Residential Educational Institutes on how they can do some easy experiments, hands-on activities and games in their classes to understand DNA better.

R Sankaranarayanan for his election as the EMBO Associate Member. 67 new members from 22 different countries join the EMBO community of 1900 plus members, shaping the roadmap of life science research.
K Thangaraj for the citation from NIPER Kolkata celebrating his work on ancestry of Indians through genetics. This work also paves the way to understanding genetic diseases among Indians.
Sachin Singh for the second prize in an oral presentation at the 10th International Conference of Laboratory Animal Scientist Association, India. The conference was themed on Animal Models for One Health Programme: Challenges and Future Perspectives.
Bio-entrepreneurship in University of Kashmir
The Atal Incubation Centre-CCMB team was at the Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology to talk to their students about the opportunities in entrepreneurship in life sciences.
